Mechanical protection, sealing and tensile strain relief of cable-to-connector. On the connector side, there is a shoulder which, when shrunk, fits into the recess on the connector of the heat-shrinkable molded parts. This finish provides better strain relief for the cable. This type is best suited for applications demanding high levels of screening.
